Psyche is indeed an excellent overview of Greek religion with a particular focus on the notion of the psyche, or what we normally translate as “soul”. Prior to Aristotle, a number of Greek writings used the term psyche in a less precise sense. By psyche, I understand the totality of all psychic processes, conscious as well as unconscious. The term psyche was Latinized to animawhich became one of the basic terms used in medieval psychology.
