Ad Altare Dei
The program is based on the seven sacraments. There are three parts to each step. Contact the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting to become trained and for ceremony schedules.
When all parts of a step are completed, review the Emblem book with the counselor. The use of a Catholic Bible is required for this program. Registered youth in a Troop or Crew of the Catholic Faith.

The program is organized in chapters based on the seven sacraments. Each Scout must have his own Activity Book. It was initiated and was the first religious program of any kind for Boy Scouts.
You will need to have one to use. Contact your leader or the Office of Youth Ministry for a list of counselors. Regular participation in Sunday worship. Be prepared to share experiences at the Board of Review. The book is designed for the youth to work on with the guidance of a counselor. Actively work on the activities. Hold weekly meetings lasting minutes. When all chapters are completed, please contact the Office of Youth Ministry for a calendar of important dates, including Board of Review dates, Presentation Sundays, retreats, days of recollection, etc.
Counsel the participants when required, and in general facilitate keep moving and on track the general discussion. All scout leaders are welcome to join our Catholic Committee! The most important aspect of the program is that the Scout grows in his spiritual experience of his relationship to God and the church.

Before beginning this program the youth must have completed the sixth grade. All steps in this program must be completed before presenting yourself to the Catholic Committee on Scouting, Review Board.
The counselor will sign and date the certification of completion for the step Spiritual growth should be evident when progressing from step to step. The youths Emblem book is to be examined as the Scout proceeds through each step of the program.
